Fish mongers sell seafood in a southern Colombo suburb under lockdown. The young man on the left is a tattoo artist from Hikkaduwa, one of the country’s most famous tourist towns, forced now to sell fish to make ends meet. Even though the Wellawatte area of Colombo is overwhelmingly Tamil and Muslim, these vendors are all Sinhalese from other parts of the city and suburbs who come over each day to sell their produce in the newly renovated market.
