Clay tiles from the Middle Ages at Disibodenberg Monastery, in Pfalz, Germany. The designs of the tiles crudely replicate the distinctive mandalas created by Hildegard von Bingen, a 12th century nun and mystic who lived in the monastery for almost forty years.
