Pro-democracy protestors in Colombo demand the reconvening of Parliament. On 26th October, President Maithripala Sirisena disbanded the cabinet and sacked Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, before appointing former president Mahinda Rajapakse to the PM post. He then prorogued Parliament, and proceeded to pick a new cabinet, plunging the country into a constitutional crisis that remains unresolved almost two weeks later.
