Fried Baozi

Another offering from Che Che’s Chinese takeaway menu: this time it’s fried pork baozi; a sort of steamed dumpling stuffed with juicy meat (chicken and beef is also available, though I prefer the pork) and then lightly pan-fried. Half a dozen of these make a perfect light meal, combined with a choice of dipping sauces. If you’re thinking of your waistline and want to cut out fried food, Che Che’s also offers baozi that is only steamed, though the fried version has a nice crusty finish that contrasts well with the softness of the steamed dumpling.
